The Development Of English Newspaper As An Optional Course In Senior High School

As English Curriculum Standard of General High School points out, the active development and rational use of curriculum resource is an important part to carry out English Curriculum. Therefore, in English teaching, besides the reasonable use of a textbooks, the other curriculum resources should be exploited and used actively. In the practice of English curriculum resources development, as a convenient curriculum resource, some English newspapers gradually attract people’s attention because of its unique development value and have been gradually introduced to classroom teaching by more and more schools.However, current research has mainly focused on how to use English newspapers to assist English teaching, the study about how to develop and construct optional course of English newspaper is not systematic and deep.Basing on the new concept of new course revolution, this paper discusses the development value of the development of English Newspaper as an optional course in senior high school. After surveying and proving the feasibility of exploitation of the development of English Newspaper as an optional course in senior high school, the writer put forward the some ideas for the development, outline the basic thread in order to provide a basis to the development of English Newspaper as an optional course in senior high school.Based on the above ideas, the article consists of seven chapters:The first part:Introduction.
