As is known to all, the class instructional design is a very complexteaching activity, which needs to handle the connection between teachers,students, teaching content, teaching media and many other factors of aclass.Optimizing the design of the chemical classroom teaching is a kindof organization and coordination director art.Chemistry teachers graspand flexible use of the principle of teaching design and technology cantake the lessons to the track of scientific, standardized, make the teachingget the effect of twice the result with half the effort.As a visualinstructional design tool, mapping can make the complicated instructionaldesign more intuitive and the teaching procedure briefer and morehierarchical. All kinds of teaching elements are clear at a glance throughmapping, so it is considered as a blueprint for the implementation of classteaching activities.As a part of the reformation of chemistry course, the mappingmethod is put forward as an effective tools for optimizing teachingorganization structure. The article introduces three classical forms ofmapping which are concept map, mind map and teaching process flowmap. After fusing and developing the variety forms of mapping, we putforward a new standard of classification and the three stages ofmapping use. Based on the idea of mapping fusion, the concept ofTeaching Map is raised and its new model is constructed. The practical application of Teaching Map in chemical instructional design is discussedwith a concrete case of "ion reaction" from the six aspects of thepreliminary analysis of classroom teaching design, teaching target,teaching content, teaching strategies, teaching structure, teachingevaluation.A special training based on Teaching Map to optimize the ability ofchemical instructional design of pre-service teachers is carried out. By themethods of online questionnaire, online interview and so on,the trainingscheme and the application of teaching map are tested preliminary.Finally, the article elaborates the feasibility and research significance ofthe application of Teaching Map in the chemical classroom teachingdesign to make this kind of method get more recognition and promotionin the teaching practice.
