Visualization of instructional design is a new teaching design concept which is based on visual tools such as the mind map and the concept map for presenting teaching design ideas with graphical method. It focuses more on clear expression of instructional design hierarchy and logical structure, so as to express the creativity and systematic of instructional design maximally. This study, through the research of the ontological content on the visualization of instructional design, the research results have been applied to the course of "Design and Practice of Chemistry Teaching" and formed a curriculum structure which aims at developing normal students’ abilities of visualization of instructional design. Based on the "BDA multi-dimensional experience" teaching model, the course design has been applied and finally achieved the extension and perfection of cultivating the visualization of instructional design ability in theory and practice.This paper is divided into seven parts:The first part:Overview of research. It expounds the research background, research significance, research content and research methods. It summarizes the present research situation of instructional design skills, the visualization of instructional design, curriculum design and the course design of "Design and Practice of Chemistry Teaching" at home and abroad.The second par:Ontology research on visualization of instructional design. It expounds the basic ideas, thread design, design principles, and design tools of the visualization of instructional design.The third part:The correlation analysis of developing normal students’ visualization of instructional design capabilities". It shows the value about visualization of instructional design, the necessity and the value orientation of developing normal students’ visualization of instructional design capabilities.The fourth part:The research of course design concept on developing normal students’ visualization of instructional design capabilities. It shows the connotation of curriculum design, curriculum design model, curriculum design value orientation and "capability-based" curriculum design concept.The fifth part:The course design research of "Design and Practice of Chemistry Teaching" which is developing normal students’ capabilities for visualization of instructional design. It shows the design patterns and pattern’s elements of "Design and Practice of Chemistry Teaching" course. And It specifically shows teaching objectives, learning content, learning strategies, learning evaluation, learning resources in five areas of "Design and Practice of Chemistry Teaching" course.The sixth part:Curriculum implementation and evaluation of "Design and Practice of Chemistry Teaching" course which focus on developing normal students’ visualization of instructional design capabilities. It shows the teaching model of curriculum implementation, the objects of curriculum implementation, the process of curriculum implementation, and the evaluation of curriculum implementation effect.The seventh part:Discussion and prospect. It summaries the research results, and reflects deficiencies of research process. Meanwhile, the development of the theory and practice was discussed.
