The objective of National Youth School Football is to thoroughlyimplement the spirit of the document of CPC Central Committee and State Council’sviews on the strengthening of youth sports to enhance young people’s physique "and"the decision for hundreds of millions of students nationwide to carry out SunshineSports "and to carry out a nationwide welfare football promotional activities. Its mainpurpose is to improve the physique and physical fitness of students, to train theirhard-working and teamwork spirit, to extend football in schools over the country, topopularize football knowledge and skills, to form a training based on school and thecombination of culture education and sport training. This paper studies the schoolfootball activities carried out in Chengdu and gets into these football pilot schools,investigating various effects which hinder the normal development, in order to find thespecific solutions, and to provide a reference for the further conduct of Chengdu schoolfootball.Through investigation and analysis, conclusions: The general development is notbalanced. Educational effect of these activities is not well understood. The works arecarried out slowly. There are support policies, but the communication procedurebetween the education department and sport department is complicated and the jobs areunclear. Hardware facilities and software in Chengdu are not enough, which limits theactivities to take place. Affected by various objective constraints, School footballactivities in Chengdu cannot fully meet the requirements. The structure of coaches isreasonable, but generally low-level. Attention is paid on the training of coaches, but stillcannot meet the demand for activities. Traditional school football tournaments areformed, but the number of games is still not enough.Several suggestions are:1.Education department leads, Sports department assists. Clear responsibilities anddivision of jobs, to jointly promote the widespread launch of school football activities.2.Government invests more funds. More public welfare football fields should bebuilt, and be free for teenagers. To operate school football activities by market behavior,to encourage the development of amateur football clubs and get them into the schoolsactivities. Expansion of business development, to seek more social support, to financethe activities in multi ways. Purchase of training equipment to meet the need ofactivities.3. To actively coordinate the education department, to make the coaches training inthe training programs of the education department, and to credited to continue teachinghours. To make coach level extra points in the professional title classification, in order to motivate the participation in the training. Complete the training plan of a coach, withmore scientific and systematic outlines. To improve the targeted training of coaches atall levels. To arrange coaches training for sports majors students at the Institute ofPhysical Education and other colleges or universities, and in the winter and summertraining for on-the-job coaches, and to gradually increase training level of the coaches,and increase the overall number of coaches, to meet the needs of the school footballactivities.4.To complete league structure, Primary school-junior high school-high school-college four league system as soon as possible to protect the student players the wayout,to increase the number of games, to let more schools and students participate inschool football activities, to form a "school football" culture.5. To strengthen cooperation with the media, to expand the publicity, in-depthcoverage of Chengdu school football activities, to spread the educational effect ofschool football all over the city, in particular, the publicity in suburban counties. Inorder to create a good social atmosphere of school football.
