Among all those definitions on teaching, there is a basic one that teaching should includeboth the performance of teachers and the learning of students. Dewey compares teaching asselling and buying which exist at the same time when either of them appears. Teachers play aleading role in the classroom, therefore they should try their best to teach well, which is alsotheir basic requirement. Teachers’ quality will directly affect the outcome of the teaching. Highteaching quality in a certain period is a guarantee for improving the well-going relationshipsbetween teachers and students. Only when it has been ensured can students admire and trust theirteachers. Besides, the advantages of art teaching can extend to the after-class education. This paper is divided into four parts, begining with a discussion about the basic quality anart teacher needs and the differences between major quality and professional quality. It is provedby some classroom practices that teaching for pleasure is one of the successful teaching methodsthat can help bring expectant teaching outcome. In this way, it shows the effect of the teachers’quality on classroom teaching. In the second part, by demonstrating some cases using generaleffect to enrich the art teaching contents, it emphasizes that the teachers should improve theirown quality and use more teaching methods (they can draw lessons from other subjects)so thatteachers can plan and put out art teaching and gain the teaching outcome with a virtuous circle. In the third part, it argues the scope of the after-class extent. Teachers with high quality can makeeffective and meaningful teaching experiences and enhance the relationship between studentsand teachers. As a result, it affects the moral education and other subjects’ learning. The casesabout slow learners prove that the effect of nonintellectual factors can produce unexpectedteaching outcome, so these findings are worth researching.
