Under The Background Of Economic Globalization, Analysis Of The Patriotic Education Of College Students

Patriotism education is a historical phenomenon coexisting with the development of onenation in the history of mankind. Patriotism contributes to national solidarity; motivate thehardworking and enterprising spirit of a nation. In all ages, every nation and government hasattached great importance to educating the public in terms of patriotism.At present, with the rapid spread of economic globalization, China has experienceddrastic changes in politics, economy and culture. To give its full play to patriotism education,undergraduate patriotism education, as an important part of patriotism education, need to becarefully explored and analyzedThis paper is to study the undergraduate patriotism education under the circumstances ofeconomic globalization, with an expectation to offer beneficial help to the development ofundergraduate patriotism education and to carry it forward while keeping it abreast of thetimes and to help cultivate the undergraduates into backbone force in constructing thesocialism with Chinese characteristics and striving for the common ideal of socialism.The paper falls into four parts. The first part defines the meaning of economicglobalization, summarizes its forming process and indicates that the essence of economicglobalization is an inevitable result of the development of productive forces. The paper thendefines the meaning of patriotism education and summarizes its feature. It also proposes thenew contents of undergraduate patriotism under the circumstances of economic globalization,including adhering to the integrity of love of the nation, party and socialism, adhering to theintegrity of socialist core values and the socialist road with Chinese characteristics, adheringto the integrity of national spirit and modern spirit and adhering to the integrity of theaffection for the nation, the ambition to build a powerful nation and the action to dedicate tothe nation.The second part first analyzed the opportunities for the undergraduate patriotismeducation provided by economic globalization. The opportunities include the material base,opportunities for development and innovation and technical conditions. It then analyzes thepractical significances. First, it contributes to establishing proper outlook on the world, life and value. The third part points out the challenges facing undergraduate patriotism educationunder the circumstances of economic globalization. The challenges include the following fiveaspects. First, the impact on national consciousness; Second, the impact on national sense ofresponsibility; Third, the impact on the consciousness of national culture; Fourth, the impacton socialist faith; Fifth, the impact on ethical concepts. It finally analyzes the causes of theabove mentioned challenges in undergraduate patriotism education:1. lack of effectiveness;2.lack of hierarchy;3. lack of pertinence;4. lack of effective systematic guarantee;5. lack ofinnovation in method;6. lack of crisis consciousnessAccording to the problems presented in the third part, the fourth part points out a newidea in reinforcing patriotism education under the circumstances of economic globalization.First, establish the principles of reality adaptability and uniformity in undergraduatepatriotism education; second, enhance the theory construction and the integration of socialresources in undergraduate patriotism education.In the process of writing this paper, such methods are used as literature research method,practice organon, method of comparative study.
