On Marbury’s Effect By Empirical Analysis

The aim of this paper is the in-depth discussion and analysis on Marburyeffect, to summarize the disposition that Marbury brought to this team, toanalyze the cause and result of impact between the practice and game, thepublic opinion and social environment and how is the impact for thisteam won the championship. This is a good reference for the buildingand development of the team and the form of a team’s style, for thedevelopment of Beijing Shougang basketball club, also for theintroduction of the foreigner players and the development of CBA.This article adopted the Research methods of documentary, Expertinterview, Terfel "expert investigation method and Empirical method,Logical analysis, Mathematical statistics method.Conclusion for the Study as followed,1, Beijing shougang basketball team ranked below the average in CBAand characterized with a team which lack of mega domestic players andthe core players playing in a mediocre way and inconsistent. Theintroduction of foreigner players don’t fit for the team well which resultthe team’s record is not ideal. So all the foreigner players are not fit forBeijing Shougang basketball team before the introduction of Marbury.2.Marbury effect means Marbury, with NBA all star background, whoplayed in CBA, bring the great changes of a team’s overall capability and lift up the competitive level, getting the historical breakthrough and socialeffect by his own capability and game experience. The concretemanifestation is: the leading effect of practice; the cohesive force duringthe game; The stability of critical moment; star effect; The social effectson the Beijing fans.3. The leading effect in the practice could be defined as all out effort inpractice, the fighting spirit, the consistent scoring ability, sold out tickets,the concern and love from Beijing citizens.4. The effect of Marbury showed in the leadership of practice,thecohesiveness of game, the solidarity of crucial time. These several thingscould be the reference for all the club introducing the foreignerplayers.The professional club should choose an all-around player fit forthe team.
