Study On The Carrier Of Ideological And Political Education In College Students’ Dormitories

With the implementation of the reform of university advancement and the credit system,college students’ dormitory is not only the main place of college students’ study, life,entertainment, but become a comprehensive place of exchange of thoughts and feelings,development of good habits, cultivation of noble character and interpersonal exercise.Thedormitory is the place in which college students stay for the most time and show the truestthought and emotion. And their behavior is also dominated by the most conscious of the truth.Ithas important influences on college students’ correct world outlook, outlook on life and values,high moral qualities, a firm political stance, great ideal and faith, good behavior and theformation of a wide range of interests. The college dormitory shows increasing educationalfunction invisibly in the rest time of study. Therefore, it is significant to implement theideological and political education in college dormitories and developing its moral function.It isalso meaningful to build the new platform for the ideological and political education andspiritual civilization out of class. This is also a new moral task of the college. At present, theclass teaching is the main place to implement college ideological and political education withoutpaying attention to college students’ dormitory. Consequently, the college dorm’s moral functionis underutilized. Therefore, it should become the important subject of ideological and politicalwork in universities to emphasize the dormitory education and play its educational function. Theconstruction of ideology and political education in dormitory should be strengthened and theapproaches of college students’ ideological and political education should be enriched.The first part: it starts from defining the concept of ideological and political educationcarrier and analyzes its concept. Then it concludes the general features of the carrier ofideological and political education. According to the concept and characteristics of the carrier ofideological and political education, from general to specific, it summed up the concept ofideological and political education of college students dormitory carrier. By discussing thecharacteristics of college dormitories, it indicates the feasibility and need of the dormitory as theideological and political education positions. Then according to the reality of the current college students and ideological and political education, it puts forward the significance of collegestudents dormitory education on the aspect of exploring the ideological and political educationinto the dormitory, guaranteeing the healthy growth of college students’ personality, promotingthe university spirit construction.The second part：The problems of applying college students’ dormitory are analyzed. Theproblems are as follows：Dormitory positions appeared blind spot;The use of dormitory isweakened; There is a tendency to emphasize not education but the management;The applicationof dormitory carrier was simple and many activities become formality; The application ofdormitory was single and did not show the students’ subjectivity.To deal with these problems,from the perspective of university and college students, it puts forward the reasons of theproblems mainly from the aspects of colleges and universities：the understanding of theideological and political education is relatively weak;the methods of the carrier of collegestudents’ dormitory were single and the contents of that were backward;the ideological andpolitical education team of college students’ dormitory is not perfect. Students’ personalityfactors, slack dormitory atmosphere as well as the reject to ideological and political education,also increased the difficulty of using college dorm and restricted the development of theideological and political education in college dorm.The third part: On the basis of the previous analysis, the measures of construction ofideological and political education carriers are proposed, mainly from the following fouraspects:to unify and enhance the awareness of college dorm carrier construction, includingunifying the awareness of the feasibility and need of building a unified college dorm carrier andimproving understanding of the college dorm carrier by strengthening theoretical study; to richand innovate methods of ideological and political education dormitory carrier, including themethods of the influence of environmental, online education, specific education; to perfect theeducational contents of college dorm carrier, including developing the atmosphere of cooperationbetween individuals and group, psychological counseling education of combining internal andexternal, behavior forming education of combining self-discipline and heteronomy; to reinforcethe construction of ideological and political education dormitory carrier, from the aspects ofdormitory managers, dormitory counselors, students and make it become a trinity of educationalforce.
