Study On The Cultivation Of Contemporary College Students’ Sense Of Equality In China

Equality, is the basic values of modern civilization and the ideal target that humans haslong been pursued. Since the origins of human inequality, people on the pursuit of equality hasnever stopped. In the new historical period, the Eighteen report of the party uses24words tosummarize the core values of socialism, namely "prosperity, democracy, civility, harmony,freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, integrity, kindness," whichincorporates the equality into the core values of the system. The core values is value consensusrecognition by the general public and the guide to action for the construction of socialist Chinacharacteristics. In the new period of building a moderately prosperous society, we shouldactively promote and foster the core values of socialism, strive to promote the socialist corevalues into the classroom and into the mind, gather strength in the whole wide range of socialcohesion and realize national rejuvenation of Chinese dream. Equality, as an important part ofsocialist core values, also needs to vigorously advocate and extensive practice. This requires usto strengthen the education in public awareness of equality, and to guide people to establishcorrect concept of equality. College students are the future of the motherland and the hope of thenation, whose sense of equality will directly affect the future development of social equality inour country. Do well the cultivation of college students’ equality sense, not only has an importantrole in promoting and nurturing the awareness of the whole society of equal citizens, but also hasimportant significance for the cultivation of the socialist core values and for the construction of aharmonious society. This paper attempts to explore effective ways to cultivate the students’ senseof equality, on the basis of analyzing the cultivation of contemporary college students’ awarenessof equality issues and the reasons.This paper consists of four parts:The first part: overview of the sense of equality. Firstly, the meaning of equality and equalityconsciousness are analyzed and defined. By combing the concepts of related equality, summedup the connotation of equality. Through contrasting equality, fairness and the average, further analyze equality. On the basis of equality, define the connotation sense of equality, and point outthat the sense of equality generally refers to the citizens’ cognition, advocate and pursuit ofequality and equal phenomenon. Secondly, analyze the development of the sense of equality bothfrom the perspective of the Western, combing the development and evolution of the concept ofequality of all times and in all countries.The second part: the significance of cultivation in contemporary college students’ sense ofequality. Analyze the significance of cultivating the students’ sense of equality from four aspects.First of all, is the objective requirement of socialist core values. Secondly, it is necessary to builda harmonious society. Once again, is an important aspect of university students’ citizenconsciousness. Finally, is the important content of strengthening the ideological and politicaleducation of College students.The third part: the analysis of defects and cause of equal consciousness of contemporarycollege students. Firstly, combined with the main contents of the sense of equality and manyperformance of college students in their real life, analyze the defects of current college studentsconsciousness of equality. First, the college students are lack of equal cognitive. Second, collegestudents is insufficient in advocating and pursuit of equality. Third, the sense of college students’independent personality is more shallow. Secondly, through the analysis of the factors ofschool environment, family environment, social environment and the students themselves,explore the reasons for the defects of college students’ consciousness of equality.The fourth part: the effective ways to cultivate contemporary college students’ sense ofequality. For the reason, an antidote against the disease, respectively from the university, family,society, the students themselves, to explore the effective ways to cultivate college students’consciousness of equality. Colleges and universities should strengthen the cultivation of collegestudents’ consciousness of equality; The family should give full play to the fundamental role; Thesociety should continue to optimize the environment and create equal social atmosphere; collegestudents should bring into full play the main role.
