The new curriculum reform of senior high school mathematic has been carried out since September,2004in Guangdong Province, and now it’s the seventh year. Teachers, who were passionate at the very beginning, gradually calm down. Is everything going back to their original state? The author had referred to a great many materials about maths teaching and then, using educational narrative research method and describing three discovery activities in the real teaching, he looked back at the creativity as well as the confusion engendered in the reform. Finally, the author achieved three points which may hopefully bring some enlightenment to other high school maths teachers.Totally, there are five chapters in the thesis. First, the author set forth the background, the train of thought and the method of the research, then summarized and commented on the documentation at home and abroad (Chapter One). Secondly, he studied the high school maths teaching, found out the characteristics of the subject and clarified his understanding of it (Chapter Two). Thirdly, he used the narrative research method to study his three explorations of the high school maths teaching and got the following discoveries:l.the use of new teaching mode and computer can help students simulate the forming process of knowledge and cultivate their ability of studying and solving problems;2. focusing on the methods to solve problems and grouping the exercises can release both teachers and students from the high pressure of piles of drills;3."perfect education" in the real teaching is the combination of pursuing scores and pursuing quality; the application of maths thinking on daily teaching can guarantee the realization of the "perfect education"(Chapter three). Fourthly, the author summarized what can be done to help teachers better serve students(chapter four)and begin to carry on the teaching practice(chapter five). At last, he went over the three points and put forward his expectation and advice for the future high school maths teaching(chapter six).
