The basic curriculum reform requires people to change the education concept,reform the way of education,improve the traditional teaching way’s hysteresis to improve the teaching efficiency. With the development of infrormation and technology in the field of education,new teaching methods supported by the the information technology continue to emerge.Concept maps is an IT-based teaching method which adapt to the new era’s developmenton the basis of learning the theory about concept maps and the study of concept in teaching practice,found that concept maps is a kind of teaching tool which has been studied extensively and applied to practice in the foreign country.It characterizes knowledge graphically,which has been proven to be an effectivey tool to promote teachers’ teaching way and students’ studying way,however it hasn’t been promoted widely in China.1tried to be base on the previous research results,according to the demand of the current reform of basic education,combined with my own teaching practice experience.Build an appropriate indigenous theaching theory and practice framework of "primary school English teaching supported by concept maps"from the point of view of instructional design,to do some meaningful attempts for providing an effective teaching approach to the basic education in China.Firstly.comb the knowledge about concept maps,expound the basic connotation of the concept map, the research situation about concept maps and the comcept maps’ use in English teaching at home and abroad.On this basis,look for the theoretical basis which surpport concept maps’ use in education and teaching activities. Sceondly,I take literature,investigation,experiment,and action research methods to study.Grasp a lot of information from the literature,besed on the learning from the results of previous studies,through action research.combined with the my own experience in teaching practice,to investigate the practical problems in primary school’s English teaching.Explore the application model about concept maps in the primary school’s English teaching from the point of instructional design.Thirdly,I use the students from my job in a English training institution for the object of the studey,regard the teaching strategies based on concept maps as the independent variable,do a teaching experiment for a semester.To test the validity of concept maps teaching strategies through the experiment.Fially,find the positive and negative effect about the students’learning method,learning interests,academic performance and learning efficency through the utilization of concept maps by the way of questionaires and observation interviews,pave the way for the next research.Get a conclusion that the English teaching mode based on concept maps provides an effective teaching way for the primary school English teaching.It can improve students’ learning ability in English in most ways,stimulate students’interest in learning English,improve the teachers’teaching efficiency and students’leaming effect.But there are still many deficiencies in this mode which remian to be improved and perfected by the researchers.
