The production of physical education is a process of long‐running development and evolution. Physical education originates from mankind surviving necessities, safety, entertainment, social intercourse and faith. The essential function of PE lies in enhancing human health, strengthening man’s physique and accelerating the process of man’s socialization. With the change of man’s thinking manner, the improvement of science and technology and the ability of aesthetic appreciation, people commence regarding physical education from the perspective of arts and aesthetics, therefore, Sports Aesthetics was born.Sports Aesthetics is a branch of science which studies the way of how people conduct aesthetic activity in physical education. Sports Aesthetics studies PE phenomena by applying aesthetic theories. The establishment of Sports Aesthetics, which is either the requirement of PE development or the development of aesthetics. Hence, the study of the feature of badminton and its value comes in practical significance. Philosophically,"beauty" refers to the subjective feeling of the objectivating of people’s intrinsic power", and it is one of the most important standards of recognizing and understanding the world. The cognition of the trait of badminton activity contributes to a more profound and more overall recognition and comprehension of the aesthetic function and value of the badminton activity. In PE activity, the virility of man was completely revealed, and the beauty of human body was exposed to the life of sports,both of which presented beauty with figurativeness and contagiousness. Badminton activities are not merely identify to the essential trait of beauty，and the process of which is just the very representation of itself. The graceful posture along with fascinating movements gives people a sense of beauty, which cultivates one’s temperament and adjust psychological mood, all the more enhancing one’s aesthetic appreciation and ability to create beauty. Badminton activity is a kind of sports item that wins through skills and has its own unique aesthetic feature.The thesis primarily investigates, analyses and accounts the aesthetic feature of badminton activity in the following several respects by document‐data method interviewing method, case study method, analysis method on the basis of the fundamental theory of Sports Aesthetics.1.To discover and reveal the aesthetic value of badminton activity.2.To probe the element of beauty in badminton movement and the feature of it with its essential trait in movement.3.To try to investigate the entity of the beauty in badminton movement, and make further studies on its property.4.To study the subjective and objective conditions that are required in the produce of the beauty in badminton movement.The study on the aesthetic trait of badminton technique is a new fresh cognition in the circle of aesthetics, which makes great theoretical and practical sense in a more profound and more overall recognition of the feature, law and development trend of the badminton activity, and probe the aesthetic discipline of the competition badminton activity and the promotion of the popular badminton activity and its further spreading.
