The rate of students’attendance reflects the relation of between the real state and ideal state of students in the classroom. It’s with characteristics of quantitative, hierarchical, comprehensive and developing.The study to the rate of students’attendance of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities of Tibet is not only helpful to promote the reform of the education system, management level,style of study, quality of teachers and the overall development of students in the general sense, but also helpful to enhance political literacy and multiple quality of Tibetan college students and to maintain political stability and ethnic harmony in Tibet and national unity.The survey to undergraduate students of Tibet University showed that, since2005, the rate of students’attendance of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities of Tibet has altered with the change of teachers, students and grades, but the overall situation hasn’t been optimistic. Therefore, it is urgent to enhance teaching effectiveness, improve the quality of teachers, reform content of teaching and improve students’interest in learning.Factors that affect students’rates of attendance include not only nature and characteristics of the curriculum, the quality of teachers, students’characteristics, class time and place, school ethos, performance appraisal and the level of educational management, but also negative effects of market economy, errors of the party and government in the work, shortage of education system, as well as Tibet’s natural environment, political environment and technological and cultural conditions.To enhance the rate of students" attendance of ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities of Tibet, the fundamental path is the modern transformation and modern construction of ideological and political education from the concept,way and content of education, and the fusion of horizons between the world of textbooks’meaning and the living world of college students. Secondly, the administrative path is to reform teaching management, reinforce flexible management, strengthen teacher management, teaching reform, research management and construction of campus culture.Thirdly, the technological path is the study and application of modern teaching techniques and assessment techniques.To enhance the rate of students’attendance is a systematic project. Concentrating on the rate of students’attendance, in essence, requires concentrating on the quality of teaching, the change of educational idea, people-oriented management, the building of material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization, and the construction of harmonious society.
