In recent years, with the continuous enrollment of colleges and universities and the increase of the number of female postgraduates, the majority of female postgraduates at the school has reached marriageable age, who have a great difference from female graduates physiologically and psychologically, and the concept and behavior of their mate selection, owning a certain particularity, also draw scholars’ attention. It is not only to improve the views of love and marriage in colleges and universities to strengthen female postgraduate spouse choosing values education, but also to implement the spirit of The Ministry of Education on Further Strengthening and Improving Ideological and Political Education of Graduate Students Some Opinions. Spouse choosing values play an important role in guiding the spouse choosing behaviors of female postgraduates. It is conducive to the development of physical and mental health of the female postgraduates, social stability and harmony to put the marriage values education into the ideological and political education system and guide the female graduate students to set up the correct marriage values. Based on the context of globalization and the particularity of female postgraduates, this paper would analyze their spouse choosing values, aiming at guiding the correct mate choosing values to them by means of ideological and political education, to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education. Firstly, this paper mainly elaborates the background of this research, on the basis of analyzing and learning theory of mate choice studies from home and abroad, put forward the necessity of mate choice values study from the viewpoint of ideological and political education, and finally points out the study ideas and research methods. Secondly,this paper put the relevant concept and characteristic of spouse choosing values into analysis, and deeply investigate the current circumstances of female postgraduates mate choosing values depending upon the elements of spouse choosing values, including the psychology of choosing spouse, cognition of choosing spouse, standards of choosing spouse, ways of spouse-selection. This part would mainly explore the shown characteristics of female postgraduates mate choice values. Then, the paper analyses the problems of the female mate choice values from the objective and subjective reasons. At last, this paper puts forward the educational countermeasures for the cultivation of female postgraduates spouse choosing values from the aspects of university education and female postgraduates’ self-education.
