Children’s advantages in language learning are indisputable from both phonetic and syntactic perspectives. In order to improve the learning efficiency of Chinese English-learners and to develop effective communicative abilities, child English teaching is becoming increasingly important. Because of the maladies of examination-oriented education system in traditional schools and the increasing demand for elite education, burgeoning private schools.including international schools, foreign language schools, and small or medium sized schools, has paced traditional schools in educational reform of child English teaching by their own exploration and practice. Consequently, studies on the English teaching of these schools is of immense value for the optimization of child English teaching.Based on two years’teaching practice in private primary school and the revolutionary practice of other English teachers for children, the article explores the teaching methods that are applicable to current English teaching conditions in China under the guidance of Krashen’s Input hypothesis.Child English teaching at early stage is focus on listening and speaking abilities. In the article, early stage consists of two stages:the opening stage and the advanced stage. At the opening stage, the prime task is to connect "sound" of basic words and phrases, among which nouns are of great importance and verbs function as a kind of supplement, with corresponding "image" by the assistance of right hemisphere or by various sensory stimuli. Detailed teaching application can refer to "learning pronunciation by seeing pictures" or Total Physical Response. Teaching aim of the second stage the advanced stage is to comprehend and then quickly respond to a whole sentence or a simple dialogue, together with a small amount of output. Based on reasonable and effective input, language users should establish the network of linguistic elements and the grammatical network to facilitate the formation of multidimensional neural network in brain from vertical and horizontal angels respectively. In some emergent private school or international school. Series Method and Computer-Assisted Language Learning are two comparatively ideal methods for the teaching at this stage. They are both similar to the process that babies learn their mother tongue:the occurrence of event not only emphasizes "here and now", but also provides language learners with forecasting skill by taking the form of comprehensible input.
