Based on the current context of global economic integration, mastering a foreign language especially English is very important. But through the analysis of basic education, foreign language has a worrying situation of teachers. Because the foundation education reform is in the implementation of a new round of large scale in China, which leads to high school English teachers have higher requirements in this new situation. From the practical point of view, teachers are the practitioners of the education practice and reform. Teachers’ quality level of the current new curriculum reform is the decisive factor to success. Effectively improve the quality of teachers in each condition under the condition of long-term strategy, the most feasible way is the professional development of teachers. The main topic in this part is teacher professional development, which also belongs to orientation of the international teacher education reform.This paper selects the current new curriculum reform, using the method of literature, questionnaire and the teacher’s exhibition industry development theory as the foundation. By means of questionnaire investigation of236middle school English teachers in Wuhan City high school, in-depth analysis of middle school English teachers’ self evaluation, teaching reflection, professional qualities, teaching and research and other content, to discuss and research current situation of Wuhan City under the background of new curriculum in middle school English teachers’ professional development. On this basis teachers put forward corresponding opinions and suggestions. Now the urgent problem to be solved is to help teachers with the professional ability and professional development to accelerate. I hope this research can be done to provide reference for the professional development of teachers.
