This article is study of food management from the perspective of organizational sociology. In the study, I am trying to answer the question is:why was food management revoked? What kind of mechanism in the work? Through the research, what kind of the organizational Sociology theory should be enlightenment and development? The text is mainly divided into three parts, and including introduction, text and epilogue.The first part is the introduction. The chapter one is mainly introduces the background of research questions and the research significance; In the second chapter is literature review, including the related literature on the research of the process of organization and the review of the literature around the grain circulation system; The third chapter is the research design, including the theory support, the theoretical assumptions and research methods.The second part is the main body of the paper. The fourth chapter is mainly to introduce the general agricultural situation in A town, including the geographical environment and the agricultural model of the town.The fifth chapter is about the organization process of the food management in A town. According to the clue of time, this article will make the organization process of the food management that is divided into four stages:the first stage is the emergence period of food management, the food management was established in A town in1953.The second stage of food management is from1954to1954. From1978to1978,the food management was reforming in this period. This time can be divided into four segments, the first period is1978to1992, from " the state monopoly for purchase and marketing "to " the double track management";the second period is1993 to1997, from "two lines operation" to "the determination of market reform";the third period is1998to2003, the separating of the government and enterprise; the fourth period is2004to2007, deepen the reform of state-owned grain enterprises. The fourth stage of food management was dismantling period from2008to2010. From founded to dismiss, the food management working55years. Through the description of the change of the food management in A town, I hope to displayed the process of the organization.The sixth chapter is trying to find the reason of revocation in A town’s food management. The revocation of food management was not only the government’s directive behavior, but also caused by the organizational external mechanisms and internal mechanisms. Organization mechanism is mainly including the top-level design in the social environment and geographical environment factors. The internal influence mechanisms is mainly including the organizational performance and the incentive mechanism of organization.The seventh chapter is exploring the paradox on the Meyer’s rational myth theory in China background. Through the sixth chapter, we can find that, there is always exist of the organizational technical efficiency conflicts with the institutional environment in the food management as the highly institutionalized of the Chinese characteristics. In the view of Meyer’s theory, with separate plus trust and a good credit plus the inspection and evaluation of ceremony can solve this conflict. But the example of food management in A town certificate that the solution does not work in the situation of our country. Even more there will make the situation more and more worse. Therefore, this paper attempting to find a efficient solution to the organizational technical efficiency conflicts with the institutional environment. I think that maybe through enhancing the organization’s unity and improve the bottom-up feedback of organization members, and the assessment combine with the organization specialization could ease to the question.
