In recent years, Along with deepening of social reform, the various social contradictionshave become more and more prominent, which makes the university faces increasinglycomplex external environment; Affected by the reform of higher education, colleges anduniversities in which the internal environment also will be changed dramatically, there aremore uncertainties. Therefore all kinds of unexpected events have occurred in the university,such as the Case of Yunnan University, Shanghai Fudan University Business School, fire andpoisoning cases and other events. Because these events unexpected strongly and broaddangers, the impact will spread from school to society. And they not only impact the physicaland mental health of students, disrupt the normal order of life management of schools andteaching, but also damaged the good image of the school, even caused adverse effects tosociety. So in order to enable students to better physical and mental development, we need toproperly respond to unexpected events universities.In2007, China promulgated the "People’s Republic of China Emergency Response Law,"which had marked the handle unexpected events standardize and guide the law, it plays a rolein "hard power". However, to solve the emergency laws and regulations not only require "hardpower" to play a role, but also with China’s national conditions, we should pay attention to theideological and political education in addressing unexpected events played by "soft power"role. Ideological and political education is seen as a lifeline for all the work, it has to play arole just as the role of soft power and cultural development of a country, as it is moisten thingssilently, sometimes even more effective than some of the hardware. Not only for ideologicaland political education to enrich the theory of ideological and political education, whileproviding scientific methods and countermeasures to solve the university unexpected events.Thus the study has very important significance of this thesis.Background and logical starting point for the college paper unexpected events, the maincontents of ideological and political education according to the specific situation and applytheoretical knowledge to take some effective means to respond to emergencies. As theresponse to unexpected events is both a theory university, it is a practice that educators can use some method of ideological and political education to solve problems encountered bystudents facing unexpected events, but also make the theoretical system of ideological andpolitical education more perfect. Therefore, this paper uses a combination of theory andpractice of the method, the first system of this paper outlines the research background, thispaper theoretical and practical significance and research status at home and abroad on thetopic. At the same time, emergencies and unexpected events related concepts universitieswere elaborated, introduces the classification college emergencies, characteristics and genesisfor future discussion provides a theoretical basis. Second, the analysis of unexpected eventsbrought the issue to the ideological and political education on the basis of ideological andpolitical education expounded on the need to deal with unexpected events in the university,that the ideological and political education as an important part of the university to respond toemergencies, it not only to meet the spiritual needs of college students, but also can improvethe response by the scientific decision-making capabilities to help alleviate the contradictionsand conflicts universities emergencies. Then further analysis of the ideological and politicaleducation in colleges and universities respond to unexpected events unique role. Once againreveals the lack of experience and the ideological and political education in the process to dealwith those obtained for the proposed countermeasures to deal with clear direction. Finally,according to pre-college emergencies, during and after the different characteristics of the threetime periods present different coping strategies. Before the incident needs to strengthenideological and political education to predict, especially in strengthening education guidanceand ideas in the field of ideology prediction function, the preparation of scientific andreasonable emergency plans and other universities; We must take a positive response when anevent occurs, the establishment of information dissemination mechanism to guide thedirection of public opinion and insist on students’ positive guidance and persuasion andeducation; Then we have to draw lessons, test the students psychological, correctiveemotional state of imbalance and timely comfort, recognition and punishment. Thusenhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education and improving the ability ofmanagers to respond to emergencies, thereby eliminating the negative effects caused byunexpected events, maintaining security and stability in universities and society.
