A Case Study On Folk Belief Ritual Of Northwest Han

The folk beliefs of Northwest Han, which are accumulated from the long-term life of local residents, are living culture. Meanwhile, it bears the precious wealth in many aspects, such as culture, life and history of the local residents. The folk belief of villagers manifest through a series of rituals in a particular time and circumstances. God lift ceremony is the most representative folk belief ceremony to treat the relationship of people, gods and ghosts by the residents in the northwest of Wangjiayuan country, Tongxin county.The case of God lift ceremony is selected to record the process of ritual in detail in Qinglong Temple during the Lunar March20.A number of teachers, bearers, temple president, religious people, and so on are asked. Meanwhile, the paper tries to understand the ceremony from a different perspective, and record the information what they see and understand through text, images and other forms. Based on gathering the survey data in the folk and analyzed systemically with whole process of the ceremony, It divides the ceremony of God lift into the temple fairs and outer places. Then the author introduces respectively the the ceremony of God lift in outer places with the interview, and the ceremony of God lift into the temple fairs is described as inside and outside.According with relevant literature information, it takes the ceremony of God lift into the relevant theoretical framework, tries to analyze the ceremony with the symbolic theory, interprets the symbols of language, object, behavior, sound, direction, time, space and taboos in the ritual process, and explains the characteristics of symbols, the symbolic meaning which conceals behind in the ceremony.Throughing a comprehensive analysis of the ceremony of God lift to understand the development and transition of the living culture, and it helps us to recognize the importance of studying the cultural phenomenon。...
