| Every major social development is accompanied by an education revolution. Through the efforts of numbers of mathematics educators, great reforms have happened in China’s mathematics curriculum. Through classroom observation, the author found that a teacher’s teaching style can be maximized by his or her language. Especially in mathematics concept teaching, the language communication between teachers and students are mainly embodied by questioning. Among all kinds of the questioning, probing questioning can effectively deepen students’understanding of the concept. The research questions of this thesis lie on:(1) observing and analyzing the probing questioning in mathematics concept teaching. With the help of teaching videos and through classroom observations, the author analyzed the current situation of probing questioning in mathematics concept teaching, pointed the problems and found out some good implications.(2) Based on the related theories on mathematics concept learning, the author raised some thoughts about mathematics concept teaching from a teacher’s perspective and came up with some improving suggestions for teachers.To solve the above problems, the author used two research instruments like literature and observation, and then came to the following conclusions:the probing questioning strategies that deal with mathematical concept of cognitive impairment learning can be as following:ask probing questions in the point where students misunderstand the concept; ask probing questions in the point where students have a concept of shift; ask probing questions in the point where students have cognitive conflict. Furthermore, when using probing questioning in concept teaching, attention must be paid to the following points:grasp the essence of the concept; follow the regularity of concept teaching; make sure the probing questions have a logical order; take diverse angles when questioning; pay attention to individual difference.The teachers who lack of the concept of teaching experience,especially new teachers, need to pay attention to the following issues:First, focus on subject knowledge learning and improve academic literacy. Good disciplinary literacy is the necessary prerequisite to improve the teaching of mathematical concepts.Second, read more books and strengthen the learning of mathematics and educational psychology theories. By reading and learning the concept of teaching and learning theory, teachers can understand students’cognitive level and cognitive habits so as to help improve their teaching.Third, establish a correct view of mathematics education.Teachers must learn to constantly adjust their concepts of education during the teaching, do not want a quick success and forget the essence of education. From each mathematical concepts class, teachers should truly realize the ideas such as "everyone can get a good mathematics education"."Different people get different development in mathematics."... |
