In recent years, a phenomenon, which have been attracted more and more attention about the small proportion of male teachers in primary school. A part of male students of normal colleges don’t want to work in primary schools, one disaster after another, part of male teachers which in primary schools quit their job. What experiences of the male teachers which in primary schools were suffered so that they chose to leave? Why the reasons of proportion of male teachers in our country are reducing in recent years? How our current education to face and deal with this phenomenon that lack of male teachers?In this study, I selected three male teachers in primary school as the research object, realized the reasons of the occupation they chose, coaching experience and their occupation status through conducting in-depth interviews of qualitative research. With the development of data collection and the clear of idea, I establish the theory of gender view and began to focus on gender role consciousness for the issue of occupation choice of primary male teachers. The study presents three cases of gender role choice of the primary male teachers-Hesitating, leaved and insisting.The basic content of this paper is as follows:the introduction, which mainly by the topics of reason, research purpose and meaning of the definition of related concepts. Secondly, the introduction of the whole process of qualitative research uses. From the male teachers’living conditions, I further established the research direction and used the view of social gender about literature review and theoretical perspective. Fourth, The real appearance of the three part of their motivation of profession or occupation choice, teaching experience and occupation status through presents three of male teachers in primary school case. Next, I found the occupation selection of them were effected on the gender consciousness deviation occupation identity and the stereotype of social gender consciousness in different extents in the gender consciousness in occupation selection effect, through the analysis of cases. Then, point out the concrete scheme to cope with the loss of male primary school teachers according to the study. Lastly, I reflected on the research method and process etc and elaborated the research limitations.
