Wind energy is a kind of clean and renewable energy, in recent years it made a rapid development in the world scope. But wind power generators usually work in the bad environment, we must ensure we can control it in the real time and reliably in the unattended operation for years. So, it is necessary to monitory wind turbine’s working. Managers can understand condition timely and intuitively by real-time audio/video monitoring system, so as to make reasonable correct judgment, and provide remote assistance in the repair and maintenance of equipment.The paper introduces this topic’s research background and significance, study and design an embedded monitoring system based on S3C2440A microprocessor. Audio and video signal’s collection, compression, and video processing such as motion detecting are realized, temperature and vibration signals are transmitted through SPI interface between ARM and DSP platform. Finally, all signals are transmitted to host computer by network.Embedded Linux is used as embedded operating system, porting T264code library and OpenCV libraries to the system so as to encode and process video. And modify SPI driver in kernel2.6.32in order to provide interface function for data transfer. And network programming is used to transmit data to the host computer for display and further anlysis.Experiments prove that the system can effectively collect and compress vibration, temperature, audio and video signals, and realize video processing, such as motion detecting, field data can be transmit correctly and rapidly, mainly achieve the study design requirements.
