Digital watermarking technology is an application branch of information hidingtechnology, providing new ideas for the solution of intellectual property rights and otherissues, so it gets more and more attention. The digital watermarking technology embedswatermark in the original image to protect the copyright of digital products because thewatermark can be extracted to determine the ownership after the information distributed,reproduced and even illegally falsified.With the increasing applications of the digital watermarking technology, there are moreand more researchers. Also the information security major in many colleges and universitieshas opened courses and practice of information hiding and digital watermarking. However,these courses are difficult to the beginners because they involve knowledge of manydisciplines and the theories are complex. In order to make more people familiar with andquickly master the basic theory and algorithm design process of the digital watermarkingtechnology in a short period of time, it will be a good way to design and implement atask-driven image watermarking experimental system as well as to solve a large number ofstudy and practice issues of watermark.This paper aims at the problems of learning and understanding of digital watermarkingtechnology,and Seriously analyses the situation of watermark learning, establishes aexperimental system of digital watermarking technology learning; Then it introduces thebasic theories of digital watermarking technology, discussing some classical algorithms ofthe digital watermarking technology in the areas of research. Taking wavelet transformtheory as the theoretical basis of the digital watermarking algorithm design of the integratedimage watermark experiment, this paper proposes to do pre-process to the watermark imageby Joseph Image Scrambling Technology. Also on the basis of the multi-resolution featuresof wavelet transform, it proposes the embedding and extraction algorithm of self-adaptinggrayscale watermark based on the characteristics of human visual system (HVS). Thealgorithm was achieved in the integrated image watermarking in the experimental system.Finally, taking Visual C++2005as the developing tool, this paper has designed andcompleted an “image digital watermarking assisted experimental system”, an experimentalsystem of digital watermark based on grayscale image.This system contains four function modules: digital image processing, spatial domainDigital Watermarking experiment module, transform domain Watermarking experimentalmodules and integrated digital watermarking module.The experimental results show that the system can well complete the grayscale watermark embedding and extracting, robustnesstesting and other experiments. Especially, the self-adapting grayscale watermark embeddingand extraction algorithm based on the characteristics of HVS has good robustness able toresist most of the common attacks. In addition, the system designs experiment process bytask promoting way with clear and intuitive user interface and simple operation, whichprovides good guidance and inspiration to the learners and plays a positive role in support ofthe teaching.
