Compare And Contrast Study On The News Of2008and2012Olympic Games’ Opening Ceremony Between Chinese And British Newspaper

Compare with the British newspaper, our countries’modern journalism’s give birth is late, and the development speeding is slow. Most of the readers hold some prejudice that they prefer trust the British newspaper rather than it in China. While, the level of content and quality of our newspapers’article is also lower than other foreign newspaper. As the reduction of readers trust on our Chinese newspaper, and the new media technology’s development, Chinese traditional paper news suffered a great crisis. How to find the future of paper news in China, and how to design the strategy of Chinese newspaper’s business, all of them become to be a problem that need to be solve.This thesis will compare and contrast the People’s Daily and The Times’ news report, which are the most representative newspaper in China and Britain, on the same event events, which are the29th Beijing Olympic Games and the30th London Olympic Games. Through compare and contrast the journal articles in People’s Daily and The Times in the same super event, in order to find out the different between this two kind of main news papers in the two countries. This kind of different will be classified into four parts:the articles style choices’different, the titles choices’different, the contents choices’different and the methods of reports’different. The aim of this research is find out Chinese news paper’s report’s advantages and disadvantages in this kind of super events, and critically reference the Times’ competitive advantage, in order to improve Chinese news’quality and readability. Make it realize the improvement of it quality and take more share of the market to earn more profits at the same time.
