The Entrance Guard Management System Design And Implementation

In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, access control system asthe most potential part in security guard system, has been applied more and more widely.Access control system as modern security management system, gradually become achallenging task and special attention should be paid to the research topic.The design and implementation of an access control system is discussed in thethesis. The access control system is applied in police watch house. It provides completeand safe import and export management function. Because of particular environment ofpolice watch house, the access control system need some especial security process, forexample, every room in police watch house need two doors which is openedrespectively by card and password. The access system not only can be used as anindependence access control system, but also can be used as a sub-system in a securityguard integration platform. The access control system can connected with visualmonitor sub-system, alarm sub-system in a security guard integration platform byTCP/IP interface. So application of the system can greatly improve working efficiencyand enhance security level of a police watch house.AW-4N access controller hardware is adapted in the access control system. RS-232serial interface standard is used to connect between PC and AW-4N access controller.The access control system is connected with the security guard integration platform byTCP/IP Winsock communication interface. The access control system was developed inVisual C++6.0development environment, Microsoft SQL Server2000is used asbackground database server, and ADO data access technique is adapted to connect thedatabase server.Single chip computer and smart card technique play an important role in the accesscontrol system. Network communication technique is adopted to connect each room,each alleyway in the monitor area as a whole. The function of access control systeminclude access control management, card management, remote control and statusmonitor, access control data storage and query management, security access linkage.The application of access control system can greatly improve working efficiency and enhance security level of police watch house environment.
