SoC technology has gradually become the mainstream technology in the integrated circuit design because of its high integration,good reliability,low power consumption and short product cycle.With the development of SoC technology,the smart card(IC card)has made great progress and widely used in many fields such as financial transactions because of its portability,good reading and writing ability and high security.Smart card interface,as a basis of communication between smart card and card-reader,has become an indispensable one of the SoC interface,so that it has been paid more and more attention.The Serial Communication Interface(SCI)is a smart card interface which is the main interface between smart card and terminal.Follow the ISO/IEC SCI interface7816-3 protocol,EMV4.2 protocol and Chinese financial integrated circuit card specification(PBOC),SoC chip which integrated SCI interface can communicate with the terminal of different standard,improve the SCI interface compatibility and portability.This paper presents the function modules of the smart card interface based on in-depth understanding of the 7816 protocols,the diagram is given and introduces the function and design of each functional module and the function of each module is verified by simulation at the same time.Validation is an important part of SoC design which takes up most of the time.The first is the RTL code logic function comprehensive verification and then carry out strict verification after extraction of simulation and FPGA in the layout and the finished product testing at last.The series of validation ensured the correctness of the whole design.The achievements of research in this paper as follows:In order to pass the PBOC test specification,the clock gating circuit is added during the design process to solve the problem of low power consumption.In the transceiver data are to be entered into the algorithm module for encryption and decryption on account of integrating into the security SoC chip which improve the security of the IC card.The project of the CRC calibration and LRC calibration is completed by the hardware part which greatly heighten the verification speed.The design is based on the design of AMBA bus which greatly enhances the portability of IP and it is easy to integrate into different SoC chip and shorten thedevelopment cycle of the chip.
