The Design And Realization Of Wireless Sensor Network Gateway Node

ZigBee technology is a new kind of wireless communication standards with low powerconsumption, low cost and low complexity. So far ZigBee technology has been widely usedin intelligent city, intelligent building, intelligent home, telemedicine system and many otherareas. The ZigBee technology has gradually become the mainstream standard in the wirelesscommunication area and has obtained numerous applications in the industry, intelligenthome and many other areas.Gateway is a network device equipped for interfacing with another network that usesdifferent communication protocols. Embedded ZigBee-Ethernet gateway is a convergencedevice of the network using the ZigBee protocol and the Ethernet.Combining with ZigBee technology based on the802.15.4protocol and embeddedARM technology, this thesis has described a solution about the gateway of the wirelesssensor network. The gateway uses the ARMs3c2410produced by Samsung Electronicscompany as the main processor and uses the JN5121wireless processor made by Jennic inEngland as the wireless sensor. First by analyzing the ZigBee protocol and the embeddedLinux system, the standard of communication message was designed in the application layerof the gateway system, then the web server (boa) was installed on the ARM processor,finally the wireless sensor network gateway was completed with serial port programing,Socket programing, CGI (Common Gateway Interface) and other technology.The maintenance and settings of the gateway can be completed not only with theremote controlling but also through the LED panel and other network devices in the field.The experimental results indicate that the gateway can transmit data from the wireless sensornetwork to the Ethernet and achieve the desired effect in the data management.From the point of applications and practices, this thesis discusses the research about thebasic theory, the development, and the applications of the embedded system with ARMS3C2410processor. This thesis achieves the Combination of theories and applications.
