In recent years, with the development of network technology, people hope that they can obtain the information at any time and any place, which further promotes the study of mobile Ad Hoc networks. The routing problem of Ad Hoc network is the key point of current research, scientists have proposed some valuable routing protocols such as DSDV, AODV, DSR, TORA and ZRP, but there is a certain distance from the practical because of the difficulties of implementation. How to adapt to dynamic changes of network topology and how to implement QoS are challenging the traditional routing protocols. Because of the existence of characteristics such as wireless channel, multi-hop routing, dynamic topology and so on, to ensure QoS in mobile Ad Hoc networks presents special problems and difficulties, compared to the traditional wired network and single hop wireless network. In order to improve the average network throughput, alleviate the network congestion and reduce the packet loss rate, this thesis made a further research on Ad Hoc network routing protocol. The main work is as follows:(1) Because of the shortcoming that the DSR protocol transmitters packets following the shortest rout may cause premature demise of some nodes due to undertaking more businesses, this thesis forwards a new routing protocol named LDAR protocol based on leisure degree. It can transmitters packets following the route that has the maximum leisure degree, and it will prolong the overall network lifetime.(2) Because the algorithm that the DSR protocol only initiates a new route search after detecting rout is broken will produce more time cost and unnecessary consumption, this thesis will improve DSR protocol based on the core idea of the link stability prediction algorithm, proposes a new DSR algorithm (LSP-DSR protocol) which initiates the route before detecting rout is broken.(3)At last, this thesis simulates these two protocols and gets the compared correlation curves by using OPNET software. The experimental results show that the improved algorithm has advantages in improving QoS.
