In recent years, with the explosive development of railway technology, urban rail transitextends continuously. Correspondingly, the tunnel number increased. However, in the processof tunnel construction, accidents seriously threaten constructors’ life safety, like collapses,carbon monoxide poisoning and water logging occurred frequently due to the geologicalenvironment and operation against rules. Therefore, a real-time supervision about the tunnelhumiture and carbon monoxide concentrations are in urgent need. When risk factors exceed,cautions should be alarmed for the constructors to evacuate. When accidents happened,trapped staff position should be provided for rescuers. After the tunnel is put into use, aperiodic inspection is necessary for all the equipments in the tunnel. In order to monitor thework of the inspection personnel, a real-time positioning is efficient. In the light of all theabove, this thesis put forward a personnel safety management system based on ZigBeetechnology to cater to the needs of tunnel environmental safety monitoring and personnelpositioning and attendance.Making use of its features like low power consumption and self-networking, this thesisunderwent a study of the ZigBee technology in the aim of improving transmission distance.The core design philosophies of the research are modularization and standardization. Shortenthe development cycle and reduced the development cost of the system with the highcompatibility of technology by way of continuous comparing and balancing. Comparing withthe traditional location mode, the research has high adaptability and good localization effect.This system adopts modular design. Lower computer hardware includes the coordinator,routing node, terminal node. The software of the host acquisition part uploads variouscollected sensors and personnel location information to the database storage. Based on theuser’s different permissions, the software of host management shows the accordingly content.The hardware of lower computer uses Altium Designer. The core processor usesCC253X series chips; the software uses IAR Embedded Workbench as software developmentenvironment and conducts secondary development with the basis of Z-Stack protocol stack.The software of upper computer uses Visual Studio2008development environment, C++language; and SQL Server2005database.The debugging and laboratory employment results demonstrate that the system can workfavorably in laboratory environment under current situation and all expected functionsworked out. This system will be applied to on-site practice to verify various performance ofthe system, which will provide a reliable basis for future performance improvement.
