The hydrological data forecasting has been a topic of the water conservancy automation research. Especially with the development of the Internet of Things, the network water level sensor is becoming a trend, with the development of embedded chip technology, the use of embedded Ethernet communication becomes very easy.Therefore, it is possible to Research the Network digital water level sensor.The design select an embedded Linux as the operating system, and the ARM9embedded processor as the core of the hardware platforms. It uses HTML language to achieve Webpage graphical user interface.The system consists of two parts, the part makes the MSP430F2013which is produced by TI company as the controller to control data transmitter part. It is made to complete the acquisition and processing part, Then send the data on water level signal through485port to the ARM processor. The other part uses the S3C2440chip as a network transmission control section, the part is mainly responsible for the transmission of collected signal and used as an embedded WEB server, so it is easy to get the information provided by the WEB server through the Internet, convenient and fast. The system has the following characteristics: 1) In order to reduce the cost, data acquisition section and the network transmission part of hardware system is separated, we can install an ARM controller for a plurality of the digital water level sensor to access network.2) The embedded processor uses S3C2440with32-bit ARM9processor as hardware core and DM9000card chip to access network. the overall structure is compact, easy to install, just need a network port to access network, particularly convenient, and the system left a lot of interface to facilitate the next step development.3) The transmitter selects MSP430F2013as a master chip, low power consumption and have a sleep function, We can make the system in a sleep state in the most of the time, it is very suitable for complex water level environment.4) The software part of the design using C language, it not only has a good portability, but also easily to upgrade of the system and shorten the secondary development of the system.5) The main part of the web page using HTML language,we can select any text editor to edit the HTML web document,Simple and convenient. And provide the interface of client HTML pages by CGI.
