A Research On Web-based Equipment Fault Diagnosis System

With the continuous development of technology and increasing levels of automation, modern mechanical equipments have become larger and more complex. The traditinal fault diagnosis expert system can not be competent to the task of modern equipment faut diagnosis due to the bottleneck bondage. Nowadays, with the high development of network technology, the trend and direction of equipment faut diagnosis is to design a faut diagnosis expert system which is based on Web. For that reason, a Web-based equipment fault diagnosis expert system with Jess is develeped in the paper.The Web-based equipment fault diagnosis system is based on B/S structure and MVC development model. And The main techniques adopted by the system are Jess, EJB, Struts2, JSP and relational database. In the MVC model, EJB is responsible for the business logic, and JSP is used for data display, and Struts2acts as process controller. In the system design and implementation, we act according to the software engineering methods. At first we do a system needs analysis and then do the overall design of the system. At last by dividing the system into five parts, which are the equipment speed online monitoring module, equipment vibration online monitoring module, equipment temperature online monitoring module, system information management module, equipment fault monitoring and analysis module, we do the system design and intrduce in detail. The system is completed by the powerful Java language, and therefore has good portability and scalability.The system combines the advantages of Web technology and Jess through embedding the high reasoning expert system developing tool Jess into the Web application system, which adds the experts’ experience, wisdom and methods into the fault diagnosis expert system for machinery. It improves the level of fault diagnosis and makes great significance for ensuring the safe operation of equipments.
