The core of smart grid construction is taking the advanced communications,information and control technology into existing power system, which is inseparablefrom a reliable power communication network. The reliability and time delay oftraditional power communication network can not satisfy strong smart gridconstruction. It has important significance to solve the current problems faced bysmart grid communications through the establishment of new routing algorithms andnetwork model.An artificial spider network dynamic multi-path routing based on congestionprediction has been proposed in this paper against the reliability and time delayissues in power communication network routing after fully studying the existingpower communication routing model. The paper makes an artificial spidercommunication routing model after analyzing the similarity of artificial spidertopology and the communication network.Firstly, the paper describes the smart grid communication system totally,including the composition and the communication business segment of powercommunication network. A quantitative analysis of the reliability of artificial spidernetwork by calculating the degree of invulnerability of different topologies is madein order to lay a theoretical foundation in design of subsequent routing algorithm.Secondly, a novel dynamic multi-path routing based on congestion predictionhas been proposed in this paper based on artificial spider network topology.Multi-level mixed address driver addressing mode, parameter definitions androuting policy of the algorithm is elaborated in detail.Thirdly, dynamic multi-path routing optimization software is programmed inVisual Basic6.0development platform according to the artificial spider networkdynamic multi-path routing algorithm after a full needs analysis, understand of thesoftware overall structure and operation processes. Simulation analysis of therouting model optimization process is made by using the software. Simulationresults show that: artificial spider network dynamic multi-path routing algorithm isbetter able to find a best path which improves the reliability of communication.Finally, the dynamic multi-path routing algorithm is established in the OPNETsimulation platform to simulate its routing performance. Based on the artificialspider network, an improvement on typical D2-1medium substation communicationnetwork. Then, a simulation comparison is made between the original network andthe improved network. Simulation results show that: artificial spider network hasmore reliability and timeliness, especially when the communication network is congested or faulty.
