The Research Of Intelligent Home System Based On Embedded Controller And RS-485

With the development of the increasing level of science and technology and nationaleconomy, people also have higher requirements on the quality of home life. With the rapiddevelopment of embedded control technology, network technology, communication technologyand computer technology, people’s work and life are more inseparable from the communicationtechnology. Using network communication technology, computer, embedded, domesticappliances are connected by network, composing an intelligent ecological system. People canoperate on the domestic appliances through simple control(such as a short message of the mobilephone) even if people are thousands of miles away from home.The structure of intelligent home system is inseparable from three components which arethe home automation, home network, intelligent home appliances, wherein the home automationis the most important part. At present, there are a lot of home automation schemes, but thefunction of most intelligent home systems is not perfect and high price.In order to fit this situation, an intelligent home sub-network system is designed, which isbased on RS-485bus, with the embedded controller as master device, and wireless signaltransceiver module and executive control detection feedback module as slave devices. Inaddition, the general diagram is also given. The upper machine using LabVIEW software,through the serial port, receives the data which is collected by executive control detectionfeedback module, to display the real-time control effect. Thus, an intelligent home sub-networksystem based on embedded controller and RS-485bus is truly accomplished and its functionscan be extended easily, which has high reliability and can be affordable.
