The Design And Implementation Of The Classroom Reservation System For Shandong Industrial Vocational College

With the constant expansion of colleges and universities and the continuous improvement of teaching management needs, to introduce advanced information technology and implement networking and intelligentialize of teaching management has become an inevitable trend of teaching reform. In the traditional way of appointment of classroom, teachers need personally to go to the location of the multimedia classrooms administrator or designated locations. The reservation records are recorded by manual, so it is easier to generate errors and loopholes, and lowering the efficiency of management. Especially when the school is much larger and person is complex, traditional appointment has been completely unable to meet the requirements. In order to improve the teaching quality of vocational schools and promote teachers’own development, and in order to better play the role of the network information technology in teaching management, Shandong Vocational College of Industry decided to implement online booking works on multimedia teaching.This paper made a profile of the research background and status of the reservation system of classroom in Shandong Vocational College, elaborated in the main technical, functional structure and design structure. Starting from needs and goals of the development of the reservation system of classroom to analyze and design, basing on Microsoft SQL Server2008database, use B/S architecture and the asp.net technology to complete the technical architecture of the system.The design and implementation of the reservation system of classroom in Shandong Vocational College mainly used web technology and database to implement information management of the reservation of classroom, realized the processize and scientific management of opening, appointment, examination and approval of classroom, implemented six modules including classroom management, reservation management, class hour management, class management, curricula-variable and system management. Classroom management module implemented functions including adding, editing, deleting and viewing classroom information; reservation management module implemented functions including selecting appointment classrooms, viewing the appointment list, filling out the reservation information, canceling appointment, verifying appointment and others; class hour management module implemented functions including editing, adding, viewing and deleting class hour information; class management module implemented functions including editing, adding, viewing and deleting class information; curricula-variable management module implemented functions including editing, adding, viewing and deleting curricula-variable information; system management module implemented functions including announcement management, user management and friendly link management.The reservation system of classroom met the actual requirements of "booking first, class second" when teachers go to the multimedia class in Shandong Vocational College of Industry multimedia classroom, saving a lot of manpower, material and financial resources for the statistical work of the service condition of the multimedia classroom. The system helped the administrator of the multimedia classroom escape from the tedious statistical work and query work of appointment records, brought valuable human resources into full play, inspired teachers to go to multimedia class energetically and forwardly.
