With the rapid development of Internet technology, network traffic is growing rapidly. Avariety of network applications has become a problem to be solved in the process of networkdevelopment. A lot of researches show that network characteristics in real is not the traditionalnetwork models based on self-similarity features and short correlation, but the similarity andcharacteristic of the multiracial properties. Simulating network flows based on a perfect trafficmodule can evaluate the performance of the Internet and solve the problems existing in thereal network.The paper introduces the current relatively typical Internet traffic model firstly, comparesand analysis the principle of flow model generating. Reviewed the principle of the differentmethods of traffic system based on different structures and compared the main performanceand indicators of the traffic system. We introduce the related concepts of wavelet transformand fractal, theory and mathematical model, and then give the main formula to calculate themultiracial properties and methods.Secondly, the paper puts forward a kind of polyphenolic wavelet model improvementmethod and implements according to FPGA based on the basis of deep research on networktraffic model. The paper raises distributed implementation architecture and implementation onFPGA by analysis on the algorithm of the model and calculating characteristics research.Filter bank is implemented based on FPGA in the architecture. The main function of filterbank is computed wavelet coefficient of model algorithm. This is a key point of networktraffic simulation. Wavelet tree root node value is improved by choice a proper way. In thisway, the network traffic generated is more reasonable. In the process of implementation, theFPGA implementation of multiple nodes deployed successfully and created with multiracialnature of the flow sequence, which is closer to the real network traffic.Last, flow detection platform is designed based on the FPGA. The main function of theplatform is caught the different characteristics of the network traffic in packets and output thenetwork flow according to configuration. Deal with the flow data using R/S analytical methodand calculate the value of Hurst. And then determine the similarity of generate network traffic.The self-similarity of network traffic sequence and multiracial properties are verified by the platform designed.The FPGA network traffic simulation system is designed and implemented and it cansimulate the true network traffic characteristics in the Internet. The speed of the trafficgenerated, quality of network traffic, speed and efficiency is enhanced greatly.
