In recent years, China’s electrical connector industry which the overall quality has improved significantly has made rapid development. However, due to multiple factors such as personnel, equipment, technology and management, product quality problems in many companies occur frequently in the manufacturing process, especially the unexpected and repetitive incidents. Have these incidents not only caused huge economic losses, but also product quality can not be effectively improved. Electrical connector enterprises are urgent to resolve these difficulties in China.Base on a cooperative project with the National Natural Science Foundation and the actual needs of enterprise> this paper focuses research on the technologies for the quality improvement as the core of problem management from the quality problems in the manufacturing process of the electrical connector.Chapter one surveys the current research situation of quality management home and abroad, and puts emphasis on the need of problem management in the enterprises management. At the same time, based on the background of issue research, this chapter learns problem management maturity model in the software industry (ITIL), and puts emphasis on positive significance in modern manufacturing as the core of the problem for carrying out quality improvement process.Chapter two analyzes the electrical connector manufacturing process by GQMM, in accordance with the electrical connector manufacturing and assembly process. At the same time, this chapter proposes the functional requirements of the system according to the status of enterprise quality management.Based on needs analysis and business processes, Chapter three commences electrical connector manufacturing process modeling by Applying workflow modeling methods firstly. Secondly it proposes every functional module of the system and expands its detailed. Finally it set up a system functional structure.Chapter four studies and designs the system information model according to the functional model of problem management system. At the same time, it set up a system database structure and data flow.Chapter five designs and studies the case-based reasoning retrieval technology. At the same time, according to system features, it focuses on the case said, case retrieval, case correction, case base maintenance etc.Chapter six introduces development environment, tools and methods. It designs and initially completes software prototype of the quality problem management system based on the electrical connector manufacturing process. It describes part of the results of the system.Finally, Chapter seven makes a conclusion of the whole dissertation and puts forward the future research in this field.
