With the rapid development of internet of Things technology and the continuousexpansion of the supermarkets, people have put forward higher requirements. Peopletrend to pursuit a more intelligent and convenient man-machine interactive way ofshopping in contrast to the traditional way. Thus, the concept of intelligentsupermarkets and intelligent shopping guide have come into being.The purpose of the paper is intended to solve the inconveniences peopleencounter when shopping in the supermarket. It can not only help customersunderstand the supermarket promotional merchandise information, but also provide amore efficient and convenient way to find the commodity they want to buy. Based onthis, the article will effectively combine ZigBee wireless communication technologyand ARM technology together in order to design a intelligent supermarket shoppingguide system based on ZigBee and ARM9embedded processor.The shopping guide system uses a modular design, on the one hand, taking fulladvantage of the ZigBee short-range transmission, low power consumption, low costof hardware, strong anti-interference ability, etc. The system uses CC2430/CC2431asZigBee wireless sensor network module, thereby establishing a network of ZigBeewireless positioning system. That set up a network environment for the subsequentrealization of the function. On the other hand, it make full use of the rapid andefficient performance ARM9processor and use of linux to creat friendly visualinterface. The system have achieved the goal of low cost, high efficiency and strongpracticability in order to make intelligent shopping guide system can be more widelyused in various places.This system uses UP-NETARM2410-S (S3C2410processor) classic embeddedtest chamber as the underlying hardware, utilizing embedded Linux operating systemas the software platform to fulfill the construction of the embedded systemplatforms.Meanwhile SQlite embedded database is transplanted on this embedded platform.The human-computer interactive graphical interface base on QT is designed through C/C++programming, completed the effective integration of QT graphical interfacewith SQlite database. Then, the S3C2410and ZigBee network coordinator areconnected through a serial port, so ZigBee data can be transmitted via the serial portto the processor terminal. Through the combination of hardware and software,electronic maps and commodity information can be presented via the touch screendisplay. Eventually the commodity orientation identification base on ZigBee andpromotional product inquiry are realized.After repeatedly testing the system is running well, achieved the anticipatedtarget of the experimental stage. The positioning error for target goods is about2~3m,which is mainly affected by the specific indoor environment, ZigBee positioningaccuracy, electronic map are not timely updated and other factor. Thereby the paperfurther demonstrated the feasibility of making the ZigBee technology and embeddedsystems applied to the supermarket shopping. At the same time ZigBee networkpositioning technology and the concept of human-computer interaction also providesa reference for the construction of future intelligent supermarket.
