| The purpose of this research was to explore the impact of Chinese in Africa. It was conducted and designed in the form of a descriptive survey, data used were obtained through questionnaire administration presented in statistical tables expressed in percentages which aimed at answering the following research questions, firstly in which direction has China-Africa relationship changed over time, second, from an African perspective has this relationship been beneficial? Third, has the most recent economic downturn affected this partnership? Fourth, are there any economic and business importances of this relation? Lastly, are there any negative effects of this relationship? Results show that not like previously used to be, now days the desire of friendship between China and Africa has been purely driven by trade as well as the need of natural resources and with time this relationship has been changing and moving in a promising direction although some changes need to be employed. Also it has been revealed economic downturn did not affect the partnership and still is important to have an economic relationship between China and Africa. Like in any other friendship there are also negative effects affecting the tie which needs to be resolved, this includes labor concerns, humanitarian aspects, political issues as well as environmental problems. We also come to realize despite all countries being affected by the tie (either positively or negatively) there are some specific countries on which the situation is more worse and has to be looked with a third eye, for example Angola, Zambia and Sudan. Lastly among different African countries still China-Africa relationship is highly preferred compared to that one with the Western countries and there is a desire to continue with this relationship in the future. In conclusion, in order to reduce the tense between two parties, trade and contracts has to be done in fair way, also China should be motivated to invest much in Africa as it looks to be economic downturn unaffected area, not only that also Chinese companies operating in Africa should provide equal opportunities especially in top managerial levels to both Chinese and Africans. Apart from that also China external noninterference policy should be changed as most of her African allies take that advantage to commit crimes, lastly China should stop involve herself in local politics in order to rescue their reputation on Africans and world eyes. |
