With the arrival of the information age, the integrated information management of manufacturing enterprise in China is rapidly advancing currently. At the same time, the improvement of informatization results in the accumulation of large data, so how to manage these data and find the useful information for enterprise has become a very important problem. In this thesis, aiming at the lack of the traditional management of BOM (bill of material), the data warehouse and data mining technology were put forward to improve the management, the data warehouse system of BOM in manufacturing enterprise was studied, the data warehouse and data mining technology were used to manage the information of enterprise’s BOM to explore the development of informatization.Firstly, the theoretical knowledge and status of BOM in modern enterprise were introduced, the data warehousing and data mining technology were summarized in this thesis. Then the advantages of data warehouse relative to OLTP based on operational data processing were analyzed. Finally, the necessity and feasibility implementing data management of BOM using data warehouse and data mining technology were explored, combining the actual conditions in modern manufacturing enterprise.After introducing the theoretical knowledge of BOM in modern enterprise, the data were modeled adopting dimensional modeling technology in designing data warehouse of BOM, several data topics including product sales, material and BOM structure were designed according to the actual situation of the production system. Finally, conceptual design, logical design and physical design and data mining algorithms were designed on the basis of development process of data warehouse.SQL Server2008was as data development platform in the system, the physical design of data warehouse was achieved, interactive platform of the system was designed using development platform based on the.NET technology. Finally, the scheme of integrating and proposing data was provided employing the Microsoft’s commercial data mining tool of MS Analysis Service.This system was designed combining with data warehouse, data mining technology and production system in the enterprise, changing the original management way of BOM data. This way contributes to accumulating and exploring the potential and more useful information for the enterprise, By this enterprise BOM data organization and management means, better enterprise management decision support can be provided,and promote the enterprise data management efficiency and accuracy.
