Study On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Dongguan Processing Trade Based On Global Value Chain

The upgrade of enterprise transformation is China is urgent problem which must be facedwith the transformation of economic structure adjustment and economic growth mode.Dongguan is China’s processing trade origin, is one of China’s reform and opening up thedevelopment of processing trade, the most successful area. However, the processing trade inDongguan is in the low-end of the global value chain. With the rise of international environmentchanges, cost, enterprises of Dongguan processing trade is facing the transformation andupgrading of the situation. Dongguan processing trade enterprises embedded in global valuechain is in dire need of transformation and upgrading.In this paper, based on the global value chain upgrading theory as analysis tool, the regionalindustrial upgrading and industrial transfer theory as the theoretical premise, the integrated useof a variety of theoretical analysis tools, through the method of development of Dongguanprocessing trade status is a combination of qualitative and quantitative, understand the Dongguantransformation and upgrading of processing trade of the achievements and the problems, throughthe transformation and upgrading of selected factors indicators and Empirical Analysis onDongguan processing trade transformation and upgrading of processing trade in Dongguan, theinfluence factors and influence degree.In this paper, the following main research: first, to sort and summarize of the global valuechain and relevant literature transformation and upgrading of processing trade in Dongguan, theglobal value chain in Dongguan under the condition of the processing trade industry division oflabor status is discussed, using a large amount of data, detailed and systematic analysis of thedevelopment pattern and the transformation and upgrading of Dongguan processing trade effectand problems; secondly, the use of empirical research under the global value chain of processingtrade transformation and upgrading of Dongguan, the influence factors and verify the mainfactors affecting the transformation and upgrading. Finally, according to the analysis of the target,strategy, suggestions under the new situation to promote the transformation and upgrading ofprocessing trade in Dongguan. This paper has innovation in three aspects: first, the global value chain upgrade theory asanalysis tool, the regional industrial upgrading and industrial transfer theory is an importanttheoretical premise, using a variety of combination of theory and analysis of Dongguantransformation and upgrading of processing trade, laid the theoretical foundation for theupgrading of Dongguan processing trade transformation. Second, this paper uses mathematicalstatistics, empirical research and other research methods, upgrading index level and influencingfactors of transformation of processing trade in Dongguan was constructed from the perspectiveof the global value chain, the transformation and upgrading of the processing trade of Dongguaninfluence factors were studied. Third, put forward reasonable countermeasures and suggestionsfor the transformation and upgrading of processing trade of Dongguan.
