| With a deep economic globalization and more specialized production of any finalproducts, The production processes are separated and distinct in areas such as marketresearch and market orientation, innovation, high-tech research and development,scale manufacturing, packaging and assembling, after-sales services and so on. Thoseprocesses combine the complete global industrial chain.Since the reform and opening up, China’s manufacturing industry has been a linkof the global industrial chain and has made great achievements. However, there existmany problems. As a major manufacturing country, China still need to improve thecompetitiveness of manufacturing industry. China’s manufacturing industry is stillhovering at the low end of the global industrial chain.Using the methodology of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, thepaper will first give a brief introduction to the achievements and problems in China’smanufacturing industry. Then using the methodology of index analysis with the helpof the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index (RCA) and Trade Competitive Index(TC), the paper will concludes that China’s manufacturing industry is still hovering atthe low end of the global industrial chain, then give some proposals and suggestionsto improve China’s manufacturing industry position in the global industrial chain. |
