Research Between The Distribution Of Top Management Team Power And Enterprise Strategic Flexibility：the Mediating Role Of The Strategic Schemas

With the development of technology, the complexity of market is growing day by day;competitive environment of enterprises also changes rapidly. In order to survive in the fiercecompetition and get their own competitive advantages, Chinese enterprises realize theimportance of strategic flexibility for their existence and development. Top Management Team,which as a team leading the whole enterprise strategy, will affect the establishment of strategicflexibility mechanisms by their preference. The distribution of TMT power, will affect theirchoices of the enterprise strategy. In this paper, the research will focus on the influence which thedistribution of TMT power impact on the strategic flexibility. Use some methods to test theinfluence, notice the mediating role of the strategic schemas at the same time.In China, SMEs are more needs for strategic flexibility than larger enterprises, and takinginto account issues such as the availability of research data, for these reasons, my research willuse SMEs as the sample. Use methods such as empirical research and text analysis, to verify therelation of the distribution of TMT power and the strategic flexibility. The results show that thedegree of distribution of TMT power is positively correlated with enterprise strategic flexibility,and the mediating role of the strategic schemas is significant. Based on the results of empiricalresearch, I select a typical enterprise, analysis its specific operation of the calendar year, toimprove the research. Finally, according to the conclusion of case study and empirical research,to give some suggestions for Chinese enterprises, help them to construct TMT and the suitablestrategic flexibility mechanisms, promote the vigorous development of them.
