With the improvement of China’s Internet penetration rate, the network economy hasushered in rapid development. People begin seeking the most convenient, efficient networkconsumption patterns. This paper analyzes the status and trends of network consumption inChina, and to explore the bottleneck restricting the development of network consumption,to find the future development of countermeasures to promote the healthy development ofChina’s network consumption.By studying and summarizing the literature on the network consumption, I finddifferent understandings on the concept of network consumption. This paper looks at thenetwork consumption in the narrow sense, that is, online shopping, but does not rule andnegative broad understanding.Make full use of the survey data of the China InternetNetwork Information Center and Taobao, from consumer subject, object andenvironmental point of view to study the status quo at this stage of network consumption,network consumption and analyze the impact on the economy. The theory of the westerneconomics of supply and demand relationship and price discrimination theory is applied toanalyze changes in consumer surplus in the network consumption, and the Marxist point ofview, the analysis on the production and consumption of network consumption toproduction is also used.Finally, the paper alsogives a forecaston the basis of analysis of the status and impact.With economic development in the future, the scale of network consumption will raise, thelevel of consumption willimprove, and the consumption structure will upgrade. At thesame time, the development process will also face some bottlenecks issues, such as theconsumption alienation, operators’ irregularities; support system is not perfect andimperfect law. Finally, the paper puts forward the development of countermeasures.
