The development of advertising is a reflection of social and economic development, accompanied by the appearance of commodity production and Commodity Exchange. Advertising has experienced a long historical period from the initial physical advertising and selling advertising to all kinds of modern media advertising. The purpose of the plane advertisement design is to the advertising works’art forms to explain the advertiser’s request, and the information products in order to strengthen the awareness of audience. Since word was invented and became a tool for transmitting information, the human begin to in seek more broad way to make the transmission function constantly. Words can record as the carrier of information, and can be a complete and unique art form, which give one sensuous visual enjoyment of beauty. Nowadays,, culture art text application is more widely in highly developed in the society.In the design of plane advertisement works, we will incorporate ideas and words into various forms; will cause different psychological feeling of stimulus and response. In some words in design and performance, we must consider the planer space forms bring us feelings, and combined with our experience of our habits in our lives which will affect our understanding of life and experience. The deep reasons that the perception and role, is derived from the experience of one’s own physical and mental, experience and the extension and reflection. It is common in people’s emotions and cognitive experience.This article from the principle of plane advertisement design, components, and page layout design, design for print ads in the text, symbols, graphics and color is described respectively the four elements, which focuses on the text elements, for it contains the title, text, and slogan, brand name and company name, communication to the content of text. And then, the text has carried on the classification, and the characteristics of Chinese characters and Latin letters made a simple discussion. Then, the application of text in print advertising design, has carried on the elaboration from three aspects:text in print advertising principle analysis, graphical text in the application of print ads, the text design arrangement and comprehensive application, discourse cited plenty of examples for illustration. Finally, the research content is summarized, and then puts forward the prospect.
