Study On The DEA Model For The Evluation Of Producer Services Efficency

As the continuous progress of global economy, the development of the entiresocio-economy presents a service trend and the manufacturing industry transforms toservice. It is an inevitable choice and requirement for the development of producerservices industry to transform economic growth mode and upgrade industrial structure.The producer services industry has developed vigorously, made more contribution to thepromotion of economic development, and improved the efficiency of social operationwith the integration development of the secondary and tertiary industries, especially themanufacturing and modern servicesindustry. What’s more, it is not only the assurance ofthe promotion of industrial upgrading and enhancement of industrial competitiveness,but also an important method to promote economic growth and achieve sustainabledevelopment.At the theoretical level, the DEA model is builtfor the evaluation of producerservices efficiency combined with the characteristics of producer services. At theapplication level, the empirical study is conducted on the evaluation of producerservices efficiency in Sichuan Provinceto verify the validity of the model.Firstly, the meaning of producer services is defined and the classification ofproducer services is put forward. Meanwhile, the research is summarized for DEAmodel and the efficiency of producer services.Secondly, the DEA Model is built for the evaluation of producer services efficiency.The conceptual model includes three aspects: input (index systemof efficiencyevaluation), processing (DEA model of efficiency evaluation), and output (resultsanalysis of efficiency model).And the steps are elaboratedin detail for the conceptualmodel and the methods used. First of all, explain the establishment of the index system,including proposing the principle of establishing the index systemof, selectingpreliminary index system and determiningthe final index system. Then introduce thebuilding of the DEA Model for the evaluation of efficiency. The CCR model and BCCmodel are built in the condition of constant returns to scale, increasing returns to scaleor decreasing returns to scalerespectively and DEAP software is used to solve the model. After that, show the analysis of model results, including results analysis, correlationanalysis and impact analysis.Thirdly, the DEA model is applied for evaluation of producer services efficiency.The Empirical Study is conducted for the evaluation of producer services efficiencyfrom the following aspects: Sichuan province as a whole, internal21cities of Sichuanprovince and the comparison between Sichuan with the other provinces of thecountry.Finally, policy recommendations are put forward for producer services fromtechnical means, support conditions, and protect policiesbased on efficiency analysis.This study enriches the application scope of the DEA model and related theory ofproducer services, provides thoughts for the further understanding of the nature ofproducer services industry and establishes a guideline for in-depth understanding ofinnovation and development strategy, development mode and factors that affect theefficiency of producer services.
