The Development And Countermeasure Of Small And Micro Finance Of The Joint Stock Business Banks In China

Small and micro businesses account for a big portion in the national economy of China. In recent years, the government has increasingly reinforced the policies in favor of the finance services for small and micro businesses by implementing all kinds of tax preference measures and improving the industrial environment in which the small and micro businesses operate in order to boost the continuous development of small and micro finance. Under the macro economic background, the domestic business banks have all actively extended their business to small and micro finance and explored proper business mode in this area. The business banks have shown intensive trends along the road. Joint stock business banks, which are the most active type of business banks in China, have also set the small and micro finance as part of their operational strategy due to the loss of big enterprise customers and self development needs.According to this, this article intends to study the development status of the joint stock business banks of China from the angle of the CITIC Bank of China, with its development of small and micro finance. The SWOT method is utilized to analyze macro and industrial competitive environment which the small and micro finance lies in, and also used to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunities and threats of the CITIC Bank under severe market competition. Suggestions to improve the business model of the small and micro finance regarding customer positioning, reformation of the organization structure, business process optimization and product innovation, and measures to ensure the successful implementation are proposed in a meaning of major references for further development of the small and micro business of the joint stock business banks. The study result, even though is based on joint stock business bank, are also meaningful to other business banks, esp. at same level, in order to cope with internal and external environmental changes, define specific small and micro finance strategy fit into its own conditions and after all reinforce the core competencies of the enterprise.
