China is a country with a large-scale produce of iron and steel,but not with astrong iron and steel industry,In2008,Chinese iron and steel enterprises was in greatdifficulty because of the global economic crisis evolved from the United States’ financial crisis, Although,in2009China’s economic has successfully been reboundedand turned to better with the help of national policy promoting and stimulating, as thepillar industry of national economy, Chinese iron and steel enterprises are facing aseries of problems and challenges after years of rapid development, such asunreasonable industrial structure, technology and technical equipment being behindthe world advanced level, lacking of iron ore resource and initiative of shippingmarket, a slowdown in the speed of consolidation in the industry and so on. Facingthe Global competition, China’s iron and steel enterprises must take positive actionsto accelerate the significant pace of enterprise merger and reorganization, to promoteoptimization and integration for all kinds of resources, to enhance the ability oftechnological innovation, to reduce the production cost, and to ensure that the Chineseiron and steel enterprises could win a share of the international market in thepost-crisis era, so that they could keep an invincible position when competing in theinternational market.The author firstly reviews the relevant research results both at home and abroad,Secondly summarizes the current situation of our country’ s iron and steel enterprises,points out that the recombination or merge of iron and steel enterprises is theinevitable choice and development trend for themselves; Thirdly outlines the theoryand the development course and the main idea of ERP. Then gives some generalexposition on the theory of financial management module of ERP system, andoverviews of China’s iron and steel enterprise informationization construction’ s mode and target, draws the conclusion that ERP is a kind of advanced management thoughtand tool, which can provide a feasible and efficient solution and support when theenterprise group, especially iron and steel enterprises group wants to apply group’sfinancial management and control.After reviewing of the status of iron and steel industry and related theory, thispaper selects HLGG Group Co. Ltd. as a case study which has applied ERP financialsystem. The paper firstly introduces the construction of financial management andERP system of this company, then expatiates on the urgent need for HLGG Group Co.Ltd. to use the financial management of group control mode, analyses the necessityand feasibility of HLGG Group Co. Ltd. to apply ERP financial management system;Next, focuses on discussing the HLGG Group Co. Ltd.’ s system solution designed forthe implementation of ERP financial system, how to put the financial managementsystem into practice of these solutions, summarizes the results and problems in theprocess of implementation, And at last aiming at these problems, this paper putsforward some countermeasures which are propitious to the ERP financial systemimplementation based on the iron and steel enterprises which are managed andcontrolled by group mode.
