Study On The International Competitiveness Of China’s Marine Fishery Industry

Marine fishery industry is a significant industry in our country, and plays an essential role in income, employment and food security. After several decades of development, China’s marine fishery overall strength significantly increased, continuously strengthen international Competitiveness. However, under the background of global economic integration, China’s marine fishery industry is facing with fiercer international competition and challenge like other industries, it is necessary to make sure what is the competitiveness of China’s marine fishery industry, what are the major factor influence the competitiveness. Those mentioned are the major issues we are facing in marine fishery industry development.First, this paper tries to use trade indicators which describe international competition results to evaluate marine fishery competitiveness of our country, second, this article will be Porter’s "diamond model " applied to marine fishery industry, close connected with the characteristics of marine fishery and law of development, analyzes the subjective and objective factors, compared with Japan and South Korea, revealing the advantages and disadvantages of our marine fishery industry. Finally, constructing the index system of main factors affecting the international competitiveness of China’s marine fisheries, and carries on the empirical study by using entropy value method to identify the core factors.The thesis consists of six parts:Part1is the introduction, introduces the research purpose and significance, research ideas, research methods, possible innovations and deficiencies; Part2is the literature review, summarized international and domestic research status; Part3is the international competitiveness evaluation of china’s marine fishery, use trade indicators to evaluate marine fishery competitiveness of our country; The fourth part uses Porter’s Diamond Theory to analyze the international competitiveness of China’s marine fishery industry; The fifth part constructs the index system, and carries on the empirical study by using entropy value method to identify the core factor; Part6, various advises proposed to enhance the international competitiveness of China’s marine fishery industry.Through research and analysis, we can clearly realize the advantages and problems of China’s marine fishery industry, and the main factors affecting international competitiveness. As a result of the analysis process are complex and involving a wide range, and the author’s research level and data collection are limited, there are still some deficiencies remains to be further deepened.
