Along with the global market changing to the buyer’s market, the extensiveapplication of electronic commerce and the rapid development of the global logisticsindustry, reverse auction becomes possible. Coupled with the low cost and highefficiency and so on, reverse auction is very popular. Now whether at home or abroad,much research work focuses on single item auction and optimal auction. However,there are many multi-unit auction examples in reality. For example, in recent years,governments of all countries purchase through the auction market. More and moreenterprises purchase raw materials with the reverse auction technology.Simultaneously, government procurement pays more attention to fairness, justice andefficiency of resource allocation. A good partner relationship with suppliers is studiedas an important consideration in the process of enterprise purchasing. So some auctionshould considerate the effective allocation of resources. Designing effective dynamicreverse auction mechanism for multi-unit and applying in reality is very important anduseful.Based on the above background, this thesis deals with multi-unit effectivedynamic reverse auction. At first, the thesis looks back the basic theory of auctionmechanism design and the multi-unit reverse auction model and some related theoryresearch through text analysis. And then, Vickrey mechanism and Ausubel mechanismare focused. All these form a solid theoretical support for this thesis.And then, this thesis studies an effective dynamic reverse auction mechanism formulti-unit through combining normative analysis and positive analysis, the model andschematic form are all given. Also this thesis expands the procurement requirement tothe elastic procurement requirement. Then it compares the elastic procurementrequirement with rigid procurement requirement and finds that the elastic requirementhas certain advantages. In addition, it also tests the incentive compatibility.Finally, this thesis applies the reverse auction mechanism to enterpriseprocurement and government procurement. It commendably helps procurementsubjects complete the purchase task. All these reflect its practical value. Through research, this thesis obtains the following research achievements andconclusions:First of all, summarizing a multi-unit effective dynamic reverse auctionmechanism based on the mechanism design, this auction mechanism focuses onimplementing an effective resource allocation and maximizing the social surplus.Next in importance, it is a dynamic mechanism and it simulates the dynamicprocess of market transaction, which makes it have better transparency and openness.Also this mechanism can encourage the participants to bid more aggressively.Once more, the elastic procurement requirement makes it have the advantage ofinformation rent.Finally, this reverse auction mechanism has the better practicality.
