| For over30years of reform and opening-up, China’s economy has maintained rapid development and increasingly opened to the outside. Batches of domestic coastal cities and provincial capital cities with economy of powerful strength and high extroverted degree have put forward the strategic target on the construction of international city. Especially since the international financial crisis, the world and domestic industrial division of labor, industrial relocation, and science&technology innovation have created unprecedented new opportunities of implementing internationalization for urban development, the patent to the "internationalization" should not only be set for just a few super cities around developed coastal areas of patents, but also more and more small and medium-sized inland cities, those should also actively explore how to implement "internationalization" for city development and response to global competition. The10th Party Congress of Hubei province puts forward the development strategies which support to speed up the development of Xiangyang, as the provincial deputy central city in Hubei Province and the regional central city of modernization development, and focus on building up Xiangyang by industry, city construction, and culture and environment protection. It provides Xiangyang of developing internationalization with policy basis. The path of xiangyang city internationalization will be satisfied with leapfrog development and hopefully to become the powerful engine and important approach to city development and prosperity.The thesis researches into the study of domestic and foreign general rules on urban internationalization development, the relevant theoretical research at home and abroad and relevant urban internationalization case are also included. In combination with the practical situation of xiangyang city development, the thesis analyzes the necessity and favorable conditions, the approaches and goals for xiangyang city internationalization development, explore the innovative pattern for region development for internationalization on industry, urban functions, cultural tourism and business environment, and provides some countermeasures for promoting the development of the internationalization of xiangyang city research. |
